Octopus Ellipse
Octopus Ellipse uses the same casing as the Ellipse model made from special hi-tech polymers, the only difference being the yellow front cover.
The hose is also yellow and is longer (100 cm against the standard 76 cm).
All the parts of Ellipse, most of which are patented, can be found on this regulator: the fold-out opening of the casing, the special folding diaphragm, the computer designed lever, the tilting movement of the piston, the seal between regulator valve and casing, the possibility of extracting the entire valve system from the body of the 2nd stage.
A flow of pilot air is channelled to the mouthpiece by injection, enhancing the performance. The upper part of the body has a flow deviator that acts on the Venturi effect, with dive/pre-dive function.
The performance is extremely high, although the calibration is regulated so that the inhalation effort is slightly greater than on the Ellipse, to prevent any self-regulating possibility when it is used as a spare regulator.
Octopus Ellipse suits all the Cressi first stages perfectly and all the first stages with an intermediate pressure between 9 and 10 bar.
Octopus Compact
Octopus XS Compact uses the same casing as the XS Compact model made from special hi-tech polymers, the only difference being the yellow front cover.
All the parts of XS Compact , most of which are patented, can be found on this regulator.
The performance is extremely high, although the calibration is regulated so that the inhalation effort is slightly greater than on the XS Compact , to prevent any self-regulating possibility when it is used as a spare regulator.
Octopus XS Compact suits all the Cressi first stages perfectly and all the first stages with an intermediate pressure between 9 and 10 bar.

Ellipse Balanced
2nd stage Ellipse Balanced
Many of the exclusive technical characteristics of Ellipse, covered by 4 international patents, have been transferred to this new second stage.
Ellipse Balanced has a slightly larger casing which is made from a sound absorbing material, and a new diaphragm that further improves the already very low inhalation effort of Ellipse.
The weight is very low (the lightest in the category).
The pneumatic balancing system of the piston allows for constant performance at any depth and with any air pressure in the tanks.
An easy grip knob allows for the instant adjustment of the inhalation effort, even when wearing gloves, thus regulating it as first regulator or as spare regulator depending on the preferences of the user and the required use.
The regulation system is protected by a double seal and is fully protected from contact with water, thus maintaining smooth rotation even over time.
A small lever, located in the upper part of the casing, acts as a flow deviator and allows the Venturi effect to be adjusted. When placed in position (-) it functions as pre-dive, for getting into the water and the first stages of the dive, whilst when moved to (+) it allows the regulator to develop its maximum performance.
An internal heat exchanger optimises the performance of the regulator even in cold waters.
The special study of air flows inside the casing has meant that absolutely natural, smooth and very silent breathing has been obtained.
The standard release baffle can be directly replaced by the user for a larger model which pushes the bubbles further way from the diver’s face.
The possibility of quickly removing the entire mechanical part from the casing significantly aids maintenance operations.
Technical Characteristics of the 2nd stage Ellipse Balanced with 1st stage MC9

Compact
Second Stage
-Compact shape reduces weight and in-water drag.
-Nearly all of the face acts as a purge button for easy access and fast clearing.
-Dive/pre-dive Venturi switch boosts air delivery at depth and minimizes freeflow at the surface.
-Streamlined exhaust tee directs bubbles to the side for a clear field of view.
-Made from lightweight techno-polymers, reducing jaw fatigue while diving and reducing overall weight for travel.
